Broadway Chambers Stratosphere, London

The project Broadway Chambers consists of two buildings, the highest building will be realised by TGM Façades UK Ltd. on behalf of Telford Homes Plc. to the design of Stockwool architecture and urbanism. This 36 storey high building is located at the centre of Stratford in London. With a total height of 120 meters the project Broadway Chambers is one of the highest  buildings in this area.

TGM is as a subcontractor responsible for the engineering and construction of the aluminium unitised façades on level 2 up to level 36. Besides that, TGM Facades UK Ltd. realizes the aluminium curtain wall on the ground floor and the recessed curtain wall on level 36 with a double-height steel structure.

The aluminium unitised  façade consists of various types of elements, which can be distinguished in  elements with sliding doors and  internal glass balconies, elements with doors and tilt windows or  elements with fixed glazing. Add-ons are installed to the outside of the elements as an aesthetic component designed as aluminium rods applied with a special coating to create a ceramic look, horizontal shelfs as a sunscreen and louvres  in front of the doors.

The scope of works consists of: ca. 1100 m2 curtain walling, aluminium unitised elements ca. 11.000 m2 and ca. 30.000 kg steel.

The project has started  at the beginning of 2016 and the expected completion date will be at the end of 2017.
